Lauren's Favorite

The Tale of Despereaux is a book that has four parts.
The first part is about a small mouse, Despereaux, who
is different from all the other mice in his family when he is born.
He lives in a castle, and is secretly in love with the princess.
The second part is about a rat named Roscuro. Roscuro lives in the dark
basement and doesn't like light. The third part tells about Miggery Sow
who is a serving girl. She comes to be a maid in the castle but dreams of
becoming a princess. In the last secton all these characters come together
and become friends in one or another.
I thought this book was GREAT because it was in so many parts in the
beginning and then it came together at the end. I also thought it was
good because, at times, the author spoke directly to the reader to explain
what was going on. I recommend this book to people who like stories about
animals with a happy ending.

Lara M. Zeises
|
|
|
Lara is a truly gifted writer who is very in touch with the feelings, problems
and conflicts facing many of today's teenage girls. She writes with
honesty and feeling, developing characters that you feel you deeply
know, understand, and relate to. These books however are for very mature
readers because of the sexual content and references.

This is not a HOW TO DO SIGN LANGUAGE book. It is a HOW TO BECOME A SIGN
LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL AS A CAREER BOOK. This is not a HOW TO DO SIGN LANGUAGE book.
It is a HOW TO BECOME A SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER AS A CAREER book. THE PROFESSIONAL
SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER'S HANDBOOK is the ³missing link² between Interpreter Training Programs (ITPs)
and the real world of sign language interpreting. In these pages, Linda Humphreys bridges "the gap"
between academic theories and the day-to-day reality of working as a professional interpreter.
Linda is a great person and has devoted much of her life over the past 30 years working with the deaf community.
This book is a wonderful career resource book for those interested in finding an amazing and rewarding career.
It is finding its way into middle schools, high schools, vocational schools and colleges as a career resource guide.

grandmother's house is saved when he accidentally summons a genie trapped
in the pages of an old copy of The Arabian Nights. Homer, the book genie,
is ready to grant Will's heart's truest wish. The only problem is, Will
can't decide what that wish is! Fortunately, unitl Will can make up his
mind, Homer is perfectly willing to grant any wish that Will desires--as
long as the wishes involve something Homer has read about. Will, his sister
Maddy, and his cousin Jerome embark on a series of literary-flavored
