Ethan Chase is no ordinary kid. He has a gift, a gift that allows him to see the unseen faeries that live among us. Ethan has one rule: Don't look at them. Never let them know you can see them. If they know you can see them, they will make your life miserable. Ethan had gotten pretty good at keeping them away from him until the faeries that he has stayed away from start mysteriously disappearing and Ethan is attacked. Ethan finds himself entangled in the web of magic that he had tried so hard to stay away from and he must break his rule in order to stay alive and protect those he loves.

The Lost Prince was like all my favorite books rolled into one! It had the feel of Percy Jackson & the Olympians and sometimes it reminded me of Fablehaven. The twists and turns of the plot kept me reading and I loved the assortment of characters. The only objection I have is the excessive language. There was a lot of unnecessary language. Julie Kagawa is a fantastic storyteller and spins a magical tale of adventure that you will be sure to enjoy.
