Flamingnet Student Book Reviewer MDG
Sixteen-year-old Violet is under a lot of stress. Between trying to pass her classes at a prestigious prep school, preparing for the SAT's and editing the school's literary magazine, Vi has a lot on her plate. She also wants to snag cute and funny Scott Walsh who attends the boys' school across the street. But when Violet's friendship with Katie starts disintergrating, she must find a way to make everything work out.
I loved Mostly Good Girls and thought that it was a really enjoyable read. It had interesting characters who were easy to relate to. The protagonist, Violet, stresses over everything: boys, friends, school, grades. I honeslty felt like Violet was one of the my good friends because everything she said I agreed with. Mostly Good Girls was also hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. Even though the story is simple,it never gets boring. Violet and her friend Katie are always doing something outrageous, and it was really fun watching their antics. Overall, I thought that Mostly Good Girls was a funny light read that anyone can enjoy.
