FLAMINGNET AUTHOR SERVICES
Flamingnet Book Reviews is dedicated to bringing quality titles to the
attention of preteens, teens, and young adults, and to their parents, teachers, and
librarians. We are also supportive of authors trying to reach out to these same people.
How To Send Us Your Book
Authors interested in having their book reviewed by Flamingnet should contact us at
webmaster@flamingnet.com
for mailing instructions. Once we receive a book, it will be posted on a list of books that are
available for review. Our student reviewers choose books they want to review from this list, and
we send the books to them. Once they review a book, and the review is posted on Flamingnet,
we will notify the author who sent us the book for review.
eBooks
Our students will review eBooks as long as these are advance or new books with an ISBN and an Amazon.com listing.
Home Page Link and Bulletin Board Comments
A temporary link to the review of the book and listing on Amazon.com, will be placed on our home page.
Our Bulletin Board is available to authors for comment about their book, plans for future books,
and any other thoughts they may wish to share with our members and the visitors to our site.
There is no charge for this listing or for posting on our Bulletin Board.
Giveaway Contests
We regularly offer book giveaways to our members in order to promote particular new and advance book titles.
Authors who want to promote a special release through our web site can commit at least ten (10) books for
the giveaway contest. We then send out an email promoting the book and the giveaway contest (we also include
the promotion on our home page and in our monthly enewsletter). After we select the ten winners, we email
the author their names and addresses. They then mail the copies directly to the winners. These giveaways
have been very popular with our membership. Contact us if you are interested in offering copies of
your book to our membership as a special Flamingnet giveaway. There is no charge for this giveaway contest.
Special Featured Book on Flamingnet Home Page
On our home page we display a FLAMINGNET FEATURED BOOK that highlights a particular book and its author.
This special promotion runs for one month and includes pictures of the book cover and author, along with a
link to our book web page that contains additional information. The latter may include a review of the book,
an interview with the author, and a link to Amazon.com for direct purchase of copies of the featured book. The
author can also request other links or items be placed on this web page.
Contact us if you are interested in this special promotion and to find out what space is available. This is a charged service (see below).
Book Placement on Flamingnet High Volume Pages
Flamingnet also offers book cover placement on our TEN most viewed website pages, in addition to our home page.
Along with the book cover, we include the title and author of the book. The book cover links to our review of
your book and its Amazon.com listing. We can substitute author pictures or other ad formats (provided by you)
in place of the book cover.
Contact us if you are interested in placing your book cover link on our high volume web pages. This is a charged service (see below).
TOP CHOICE Books
Each month, our student reviewers read and review many new and advance books sent to us by authors and publishers.
A reviewer is asked to rate the book they have reviewed on a 1 - 10 scale, with 10 being the highest rating a
book can receive. Although this rating system is subjective, the majority of our reviewers are good judges of
what will interest preteens and young adults in terms of stories, plots, and writing. This is because most of our
reviewers are preteens and young adults, the very audience targeted by the books we have been asked to review.
A book receiving a 9 or 10 on our scale is designated a "Flamingnet TOP CHOICE," and the book is added to our
list of TOP CHOICE Books. Authors or publishers of a TOP CHOICE book are offered a special award graphic that
can be placed on their web pages. Along with the graphic, they are provided a link to our review that includes the rating of their book.
There is no charge for the award graphic or link.

Flamingnet Book Reviews is a website that offers preteen, teen, and young adult book reviews and recommendations,
with the help of hundreds of student reviewers from all over the United States. We also have a monthly enewsletter,
book giveaways, a summer reading list, and author interviews. Visitors to our website include middle and high
school students, along with their parents, teachers, and librarians.
All money we receive from the sale of books through our website is used to purchase books that we donate to needy libraries.
Charged Services
Authors will find that the fees for "charged services" are nominal. We are essentially a nonprofit website.
However, these fees help us with the expenses that are associated with maintaining and growing Flamingnet.
